Beauty and the Geek

The U.S. version of Beauty and the Geek, which is part of an international franchise, airs on The CW. It is produced by Ashton Kutcher, Jason Goldberg, and Nick Santoro, and is billed as "The Ultimate Social Experiment." The premise of the show is that a group of "Beauties" and a group of "Geeks" are paired up to compete as couples for a share of $250,000 and other prizes. During the competition, each beauty lives in the same room as her geek. In each episode, there are challenges: one tests the "beauties" on a mostly academic subject, and the "geeks" compete in a more popular or social area. The winners of the challenges choose two teams to compete against each other in a "quiz show"-style round of questions and answers. The team with the fewest correct answers is eliminated.
