Bernard is an animated short series about a polar bear named Bernard. Korean-Spanish-French co-production. Every three-minute episode focuses on the bear's curiosity and has slapstick. Bernard just makes inaudible sounds. The cartoons also feature Lloyd and Eva the penguins, Zack the lizard, Goliat the chihuahua, Sam the infant, Pilot the dog, Pokey the porcupine, and Santa Claus. He's generally asleep or badly hurt at the end of an episode owing to his incompetence. Produced by the Korean business RG Animation Studios, with investment from the South Korean broadcaster EBS, the Spanish BRB Internacional, and the French M6. The stories are written by Screen21 and directed by José Luis Ucha Enrquez and Claudio Biern Lliviria. Music by Oscar Maceda Rodrguez. Bernard was nominated for Best Animation Series at the Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film, Mipcom Jr. Licensing Challenge Award, Prize in Children and Education at the Dong-A International Festival of Cartoon & Animation, and was a finalist at the Annecy International Animation Festival.
