Big Brother: After Dark aired on Showtime2 and was an uncut, uncensored live feed from the American Big Brother House. The show first broadcast on Showtime 2 in the United States and Slice in Canada on July5,2007, as a companion show to Big Brother 8. The show was the only one of Showtime's seven multiplex channels to have a first-run original series. Big Brother: After Dark will move to TVGN on June 26th, according to a press release from May29, 2013. While TVGN advertised "Big Brother: After Dark" as being uncensored like on Showtime2, it is now rated TV14 and filtered for language via audio muting. Nine words and nudity will be removed from the show, according to the network, however some profanity will still be allowed. Slice in Canada broadcasts the broadcast unfiltered. A companion series to Big Brother Canada on Slice was also planned.
