Brass Eye is a satirical news magazine television programme from the United Kingdom. In 1997, Channel 4 aired six episodes, followed by another in 2001. Chris Morris devised the series, and Morris, David Quantick, Peter Baynham, Jane Bussmann, Arthur Mathews, and Graham Linehan wrote it. Michael Cumming was the series' director. It was a follow-up to Morris' previous parody news shows, On the Hour and The Day Today. It satirized the media's presentation of social evils, particularly sensationalism and the fostering of moral panics. Morris's The Day Today co-stars Doon MacKichan and Gina McKee, as well as Mark Heap, Simon Pegg, Julia Davis, and Kevin Eldon, starred in the series.
