Crossroads
Crossroads is a British soap opera that takes place in a fictitious motel near Birmingham, England. Between 1964 to 1988, the commercial ITV network originally aired the programme, which was created by Hazel Adair and Peter Ling. Produced by ATV and then by Central, it became synonymous with low-quality production values in the 1970s and 1980s. Carlton Television relaunched the series in a glossier version in 2001, but it was again canceled in 2003. Tony Hatch composed the original theme song, which was famously remade by Paul McCartney & Wings on their 1975 album Venus and Mars. Raf Ravenscroft and Max Early composed a new version, which initially broadcast in 1987 when the series was revived as Crossroads, Kings Oak.
