Dance Moms
The first episode of the American dancing reality series Dance Moms was broadcast on Lifetime on July13, 2011. It was produced by Collins Avenue Productions and takes place at the Abby Lee Dance Company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It chronicles the early careers of children and their moms as they pursue professions in the dance show business. A spinoff series called Dancing Moms: Miami, which was filmed in Miami at Victor Smalley and Angel Armas' dance studio known as Stars Dance Studio, debuted on April3, 2012 and ran for a total of eight episodes until being canceled in September of the same year. Dance Moms was renewed for a third season by Lifetime on October10,2012, and the first episode of the new season aired on January1,2013. There are a total of 26 episodes in this season.
