Dead of Night was a 1972 British supernatural fiction anthology television series produced by the BBC and shown on BBC2. Only three of its seven 50-minute episodes, "The Exorcism," "Return Flight," and "A Woman Sobbing," are known to have survived in the BBC's archives: "The Exorcism," "Return Flight," and "A Woman Sobbing." The Stone Tape, which was planned to be the eighth episode of the Dead of Night production team under Innes Lloyd, survives in the archives but was not broadcast under the Dead of Night name. The Exorcism was rerun by BBC Four on December22, 2007.
