Dream On

Dream On is an American situation comedy with an adult subject that follows the personal and professional lives of Martin Tupper, a divorced book editor living in New York City who is played by Brian Benben. The show focuses on Martin's family life, romantic life, and job. Tupper's emotions or ideas were frequently punctuated by brief snippets taken from classic black-and-white television shows, which gave the show its recognizable flair. Marta Kauffman and David Crane, who would go on to create the television show Friends, were the ones who came up with the idea for it. Between the years 1990 and 1996, it aired on HBO for a total of six seasons.
