Edwardian Farm

From November 2010 until January2011, BBC Two aired a 12-episode historical documentary series titled Edwardian Farm. Here, historians attempt to run a farm in the manner of Edwardian aristocrats. Independent production company Lion Television made it for the BBC, and it was recorded at Morwellham Quay in Devon, a historic quay. Archaeologists Alex Langlands and Peter Ginn joined historian Ruth Goodman on the agricultural team. David Upshal created and produced the series, which was directed by Stuart Elliott. The series is a continuation of two popular BBC Two shows, Victorian Farm and Victorian Pharmacy, which drew audiences of up to 3.8 million each episode in 2009 and 2010. As a followup to the original series in2012, Wartime Farm saw the same team living as wartime farmers for a full calendar year on Manor Farm in Hampshire. BBC Books published a book by Goodman, Langlands, and Ginn in 2010 with the working title Edwardian Farm. Additionally, DVDs of the series were made available in a number of different regional formats.
