Endurance

Endurance is a children's reality television show that aired formerly on the Discovery Kids cable network in the United States and on networks in other countries. The format of the show is similar to that of the CBS television series Survivor, but with a youthful cast. Endurance contestants live in a remote location and compete in numerous mental and physical challenges. Endurance contestants compete in pairs, and the results of the competitions determine which pair of players is removed. Each season began with a new slate of contestants, who were gradually removed as the season continued until the last two teams raced to collect all of the Endurance Pyramid pieces. As a prize, the winning boy and girl received an all-expenses-paid vacation package to an exotic place with their parents. The sixth season's final episode, which aired on March 8, 2008, marked the conclusion of production. Endurance reruns continue to air in the United States on Hub Network, Discovery Kids' successor, until July 22, 2013. Reruns on the Hub ceased on October 14, 2011, then the show was reintroduced for reruns on April 2, 2012, only to be cancelled again. Azteca America also broadcasts Spanish-dubbed reruns on weekends. Endurance was nominated for three Daytime Emmy Awards in the category of "Outstanding Children's Series," but it never won.
