Exposure is a Sci-Fi Channel short-film centered science-fiction anthology series that ran between 2000 and 2002. The series included both obscure and well-known filmmakers' short sci-fi films, giving rise to the channel's own Exposure Studios. The films, hosted by actress Lisa Marie, covered a wide range of science fiction topics. The series was canceled in the fall of 2002 due to low ratings. The series originally aired on Sundays at 10:00pm EST and was repeated the following Saturday at 2:00am EST; however, the hour was then altered to 11:00pm EST and was still rerun the next Saturday far after Midnight, which is likely a big cause for the show's dismal ratings. There were also two guest hosts on the show. The "Best of Season One" episode would be presented by Terry Farrell, and the "Star Wars Short Films Showcase" would be hosted by filmmaker Kevin Smith. The Sci-Fi Channel had also reached a contract with AtomFilms, giving them the broadcast rights to any future science fiction purchases made by Atom Films, as well as all scientific fiction films currently in their collection, for Exposure.
