Flikken was a popular Flemish-Belgian TV show about a police department in the city of Ghent. The show began in 1999 and just finished on April 19, 2009. In the series, a group of six police officers worked together to solve both small and large crimes. The show always tried to show police work in a realistic way, but there was always some personal drama in the background. Only Mark Tijsmans and Ludo Hellinx were in every episode of the ten-year series. The VRT made Flikken, which was shown on the public channels Eén in Belgium and TROS in the Netherlands.
