Flipper
Flipper is an American TV show made by Ivan Tors Films and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Television. It was first shown on NBC from September 19, 1964, until April 15, 1967. Porter Ricks and his two young sons, Sandy and Bud, live with Flipper, a bottlenose dolphin. Porter is the Chief Warden at Coral Key Park and Marine Preserve, which is a made-up place in southern Florida. People have called the show a "aquatic Lassie," and during its first run, a lot of children's products were made based on the show.
