Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends
It aired from August 2004 to May2009, with the last season airing in May2009, for a total of 79 episodes. The premise rests on a single query: After the children have grown up, what happens to the imaginary companions that they used to play with? Are they abandoned, or do they continue to exist? According to Craig McCracken, Foster's is the place they go! Foster's is a safe haven for imaginary friends whose children have grown out of them, allowing them to stay together until they are adopted by a child in need. It's about a shy and imaginative 8 year old child who was kicked out of the house by his mother and forced to live with Foster's family. It's agreed that Bloo will not be placed for adoption unless Mac visits him daily, because Mac doesn't want him adopted by another child. In contrast to Bloo's arrogant, mischievous character, Mac's is a calming presence in the household.
