Kim Shin is an eternal "goblin" who holds the title of Protector of Souls. Wang Yeo, his roommate, also has the similarly lofty, albeit diametrically opposed, title of Angel of Death, and he plays the role of the fabled soul reaper. Both of these devilishly attractive angels, however, have a problem: Wang Yeo suffers from forgetfulness, and Kim Shin want to end his own (immortal) existence. Unfortunately for goblins, marriage to a human wife is the only way to defeat immortality. Kim Shin decides to win over Ji Eun Tak, an upbeat high school girl whom he believes would be the priestess who will terminate his cursed existence, for this purpose. Kim Shin, who used to be in charge of guarding souls and watching them pass away, is now attempting to send his own soul to the afterlife.
