Green Acres
Green Acres is an American sitcom starring Eddie Albert and Eva Gabor as a couple who relocate to a rural country farm from New York City. The series, produced by Filmways as a sister show to Petticoat Junction, debuted on CBS on September15,1965, and ran until April27, 1971. Green Acres was dropped in 1971 as part of CBS's "rural purge" after receiving high ratings for six years. The sitcom has been in syndication and is available on DVD and VHS. The two-part episode "A Star Is Born" was voted #59 on TV Guide's list of the 100 Greatest Episodes of All Time in 1997.
