Ideal

Created by Graham Duff and produced by BBC Comedy North and Baby Cow Production, Ideal is a British dark comedy sitcom that first aired on the digital channel BBC Three in 2012. There is a small-time cannabis dealer named Moz played by Johnny Vegas. It is set in Salford, Greater Manchester, where Duff had performed several stand-up shows as a teenager. In the most of the series, Moz's flat is the setting for the various characters who come to buy or socialize with him. As a final note, British band Candidate perform "Song of the Oss" off their Nuada: Music Inspired By the Wicker Man Film CD. Ugly Duckling, a hip-hop trio from California, is also featured in the series. UK's BBC Three carried it; Ireland's Entertainment 3e carried it; and Australia's ABC2 carried it. Seven series have been aired since the first aired in 2005; the most recent ended in June 2011. The BBC canceled Ideal after the seventh season aired. Graham Duff, the man behind the announcement, wrote to his followers to say: "You may have heard that the BBC has opted not to commission an 8th series of Ideal. They claimed it was because the brand-new channel controller was determined to start again from scratch. At the point of cancellation, Ideal was gathering its largest ever audience, its most notable guest stars, and the finest reviews it had ever received. This is a source of pride and frustration for the show's creators. More nations than ever before are showing the event, from the United States to Finland and beyond." The show's supporters have started a petition to get it back on the air.
