Inspector Montalbano
The television show Inspector Montalbano is an adaptation of the detective books written by Andrea Camilleri and has been running on Italian television since 1999. The show is produced and broadcast by RAI. The stories center on the fictional town of Vigata, which is located in Sicily, and the protagonist is a police officer named Salvo Montalbano. In 2012 the series created a prequel, Il giovane Montalbano.
