It Takes a Thief

It Takes a Thief aired on ABC for 2.5 seasons between January 9, 1968, and March 24, 1970. Robert Wagner made his TV debut as skilled thief Alexander Mundy, who works for the U.S. government in exchange for his release from prison. Noah Bain, Mundy's boss, was played by Malachi Throne. It was one of the last 1960s spy shows, albeit Mission: Impossible remained. Both It Takes A Thief and To Catch a Thief were inspired by the English proverb "It takes a thief to catch a thief."
