Jack of All Trades is an action-comedy television series that ran for two seasons in the year2000. Each episode of the series lasted half an hour. Together with Cleopatra 2525, it formed the Back2Back Action Hour, and both shows were notable for being the first American non-animated action series to be produced in the half-hour format since the 1970s. This made the Back2Back Action Hour one of the most successful television formats of all time. The television program was taken off the air in the midst of its second season. The events of the show take place at the turn of the 19th century on the fictitious island of Pulau-Pulau, which is located in the East Indies and is controlled by the French. Jack Stiles is a covert operative from the United States who was dispatched there by President Jefferson. During this time, he makes the acquaintance of his British contact and the object of his affection, the English spy Emilia Rothschild. These two individuals collaborate in an effort to thwart Napoleon as well as a number of other dangers to the United States. Jack is known to the general public as Emilia's attaché; nevertheless, when the situation calls for it, he dons a mask and becomes a masked hero known as The Daring Dragoon.
