Kim's Convenience

The humorous and touching story of a Korean-Canadian family operating a convenience store in downtown Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. Kim ('Appa' and 'Umma') relocated to Toronto in the 1980s to establish a business near Regent Park and had two small children, Jung and Janet. Jung and Appa had a significant falling out when he was 16 years old, which included a physical altercation, the theft of money, and Jung leaving home. Since then, father and son have remained alienated.
