Legends of the Hidden Temple is a children's action-adventure gaming show. The episode focuses on a temple stocked with hidden treasures and guarded by mysterious Mayan temple guards. Kirk Fogg hosts and guides the teams, while Dee Bradley Baker announces and voices an Olmec Head who "knows the secrets of each treasure in his Temple." By executing physical stunts and answering questions based on history, mythology, and geography, six teams of two children compete to rescue one of the ancient items from the Temple. After three rounds of elimination, only one team gets the privilege to enter the Temple and collect the artifact within three minutes to win the ultimate prize. Stone Stanley Productions, in partnership with Nickelodeon, created and taped Legends of the Hidden Temple at Nickelodeon Studios at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. It originally broadcast on Nickelodeon from September 11, 1993 through 1995, then in reruns until February 28, 1999. From 1999 until 2007, reruns of the program ran on Nick GAS and occasionally on TeenNick. In 1995, Legends of the Hidden Temple was awarded the CableACE award for Best Game Show Special or Series.
