The live-action American teen sitcom Lizzie McGuire contains an animated version of the show's main character delivering a soliloquy from time to time. The live-action and animated segments of the presentation were paired together at various points throughout its running time. It began airing on the Disney Channel on January 12, 2001, one day after the debut of Zenon: The Zequel, and lasted until February 14, 2004, when it was canceled. A total of 65 episodes were created and made available to viewers. It was intended for use by preteens and teenagers who were its target audience. Both in 2002 and2003, the sitcom was honored with the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award for Favorite TV Show.
