Lucan

Kevin Brophy, John Randolph, and Don Gordon starred in the television drama Lucan, which was broadcast on ABC during the years 1977 and 1978. Lucan, now 20 years old and having been reared by wolves for the first decade of his life, is transported to a research institution where he is instructed in the ways of human society. Lucan spent the first decade of his life living free in the forest. He makes a connection with a helpful research doctor on his way to civilization, and the two of them become fast friends. After his medical buddy and guide sustains an injury, Lucan's ability to maintain his independence at the research center is put in jeopardy. Since his friend is unable to guarantee Lucan's safety at the institute, he advises Lucan to go out on his own in order to discover who he is. The short-lived television series recounted the experiences, obstacles, and intrigues that Lucan had when dealing with people utilizing his newly learned social graces and his old Wolfen instincts. The series was canceled after only one season. Lucan did possess unique Wolfen abilities, which he was able to access when he was provoked to a high level of rage. His eyes would flash amber when he was so angry that he was on the verge of violence. Additionally, he possessed heightened senses of smell and hearing. In a couple of the episodes, he was able to seek assistance from his former wolf family and pack. This television show was adapted from a movie that had the same name that was filmed for television in 1977 and directed by David Greene.
