Lee David Zlotoff is the man responsible for creating the American television series MacGyver, which is an action-adventure show. Henry Winkler and John Rich were the ones in charge of producing the show as executive producers. From 1985 through 1992, the program was broadcast on ABC in the United States and on a number of other networks internationally over the course of seven seasons. The first two seasons and the seventh one of the series were shot in Los Angeles, while seasons three through six were shot in Vancouver. The very last episode of the show was shown on ABC on April 25th, 1992. Episode List The show focuses on a covert agent named Angus MacGyver, who is portrayed by Richard Dean Anderson. MacGyver is a troubleshooter for a fictional foundation in Los Angeles called the Phoenix Foundation, and he also works as an agent for a fictional department of the United States government called the Department of External Services. During the Vietnam War, MacGyer served as a Bomb Team Technician/EOD despite having a background in science and scientific education. Because he is resourceful and has an encyclopedic understanding of the physical sciences, he is able to solve complicated problems with common items that he finds nearby, in addition to his always-present duct tape and Swiss Army knife. He would rather not use force to solve problems and would rather not wield a pistol, but he will if it becomes necessary.
