Based on the original version of the MasterChef competition that was broadcast in the United Kingdom, the Australian version of the show, MasterChef Australia, has been honored with a Logie Award. Shine Australia is the company responsible for the production, and Network Ten is the channel that airs it. The show is presided over by restaurateur and chef Gary Mehigan, chef George Calombaris, and culinary writer Matt Preston, who are the three primary judges. Sarah Wilson, a journalist, presented the first series, however after the completion of the show, her role was eliminated.
