Masters of Science Fiction

Masters of Science Fiction is an American anthology TV show made by the same people who made Masters of Horror. The first four episodes of the show aired on ABC on August 4, 2007, at 10 p.m. It was supposed to have six parts, but for reasons that haven't been explained, two of them had to be cut. Masters of Science Fiction is like Masters of Horror in that each hour-long episode is a short film based on a story by a well-known member of the science fiction community. This is why the title includes the word "Masters." In December 2007, Space in Canada picked up the show. This made it possible for the two missing episodes to be shown for the first time in North America. On August 5, 2008, a DVD with all six episodes was put out for Region 1. On February 12, 2012, the Science Channel started showing the episodes under the name "Stephen Hawking's Sci-Fi Masters." The first episode to be shown in the United States was "Watchbirds," which was shown for the first time on that date. Stephen Hawking, a scientist, hosts the show from behind the scenes.
