Merlin
Merlin is a 1998 television miniseries that retells King Arthur's narrative through the eyes of the magician Merlin. Sam Neill plays the main character in a drama that spans not just the birth and fall of Camelot, but also the period in Britain's mythical history that precedes it. The film deviates from more traditional interpretations of the legend, most notably by incorporating new characters such as Queen Mab and by keeping Merlin throughout King Arthur's rule over Britain. In 2006, a sequel, Merlin's Apprentice, was released, which was partially based on conventional Arthurian lore.
