The American animated show Mummies Alive! is made by DIC Entertainment. It was first shown in 1997 for one season. In ancient Egypt, a bad sorcerer named Scarab kills Prince Rapses, who was the son of the pharaoh, so that he can live forever. Scarab did something bad and was buried alive as punishment. He wakes up in the modern world and starts looking for Rapses' reincarnation, a boy named Presley Carnovan who lives in San Francisco. He wants to get Rapses' spirit so he can live forever. Rapses' bodyguards Ja-Kal, Rath, Armon, and Nefer-Tina, along with Rapses' cat Kahti, come back from the dead to protect him from Scarab. They turn into powerful guardians by using the power of Ra. Each mummy is linked to the power of a different Egyptian god. Ja-Kal utilizes the falcon spirit, Rath uses the snake spirit, Armon uses the ram spirit, and Nefer-Tina employs the cat spirit. They can call on it to give them magical armor and powers so they can fight superhuman bad guys. But when their strength runs out, they have to sleep in their sarcophagi to get it back. The mummies say "With the Strength of Ra!" when they want to use these powers, which causes them to change. The mummies can also make a scary face, which they usually do to scare away people who want to look at them.
