Bob Stewart, working for Goodson-Todman Productions, came up with the idea for the American television game show known as "Password." Allen Ludden, who was a well-known figure due to his prior work as the host of the G.E. College Bowl, presided over the event as the host. On CBS, the game show Password was initially broadcast for 1,555 daytime telecasts each weekday from October 2, 1961 until September 15, 1967. Additionally, the show was broadcast for weekly prime time broadcasts from January 2, 1962 until September 9, 1965 and from December 25, 1966 until May 22, 1967.
