Perfect Strangers

Perfect Strangers was an American sitcom that aired on the ABC television network for eight seasons, from March 25, 1986, to August 6, 1993. The story, created by Dale McRaven, follows Larry Appleton, a midwestern American, and Balki Bartokomous, a distant cousin from eastern Mediterranean Europe. It began broadcasting on Tuesdays in the spring of 1986 for the six-episode initial season, then moved to Wednesdays in prime time in the fall of 1986. It was held on Wednesdays until March 1988, when it was transferred to Fridays. The show anchored ABC's inaugural TGIF Friday-night lineup, albeit it aired on Saturdays in 1992.
