British TV network Sky Arts makes a series of TV plays called Playhouse Presents. Each one stands on its own. Sky Arts 1 began showing the series on April12, 2012. Each episode is written by a different person and has a different group of actors in it. In December2012, the four-part adaptation of A Country Doctor's Notebook was also shown on this strand. Sky Arts has said that they will be ordering a five-part spin-off of Nixon's The One, which is the third play. They say that the whole cast, including Harry Shearer as Nixon and Henry Goodman as Kissinger, will be back for the series run, which will start filming in September 2012. The show will start airing in 2013. The second season began airing in April2013. It starred Kathy Burke, Frances Barber, Julia Davis, Idris Elba, Anna Friel, Rebecca Front, Stephen Graham, David Harewood, Ian Hart, Sharon Horgan, Mathew Horne, Suranne Jones, Kylie Minogue, Vanessa Redgrave, Peter Serafinowicz, Matt Smith, Johnny Vegas, Marc Warren, Jack Whitehall, and Reggie Yates.
