Poldark
A chilly recession has taken hold of Britain... decreasing salaries, rising prices, and civil unrest; the only people who can afford to smile are the bankers. Ross Poldark returns from the American War of Independence to his beloved Cornwall in the year 1783 to find his world in ruins: his father has passed away, the family mine has been closed for a long time, his house has been destroyed, and his childhood sweetheart has made a commitment to marry his cousin.
