Kaito Yashio and Akiho Senomiya are the only members of Central Tanegashima High School's Robotics Club in Kyushu, Japan, in 2019. Kaito is a laid-back student and accomplished gamer who is simply trying to assist Akiho, a childhood buddy. She is a vibrant, positive-thinking young lady who is eager to finish the club's ongoing project of creating a working duplicate of Gunvarrel, the main robot from a once-popular television series. As they strive to assemble the robot and recruit additional recruits, Kaito comes across secret reports that could reveal a massive conspiracy. Unaware of what he's up against, Kaito slowly begins to piece together clues left by the mysterious Ko Kimijima.
