Six Degrees is an American dramatic television series based on the concept of six degrees of separation that follows six inhabitants of New York City and their respective relationships and connections. After Grey's Anatomy on ABC, it premiered on September 21, 2006. Raven Metzner and Stuart Zicherman are the show's creators. Through their Bad Robot Productions banner, J. J. Abrams, Bryan Burk, and Thom Sherman are executive producers. Rodrigo Garca shot the pilot episode. It was shot on location in Manhattan and at Silvercup Studios in Queens. Jakob Dylan composed and performed the theme song for the show, "Here Comes Now." Prior to its American airings, the sitcom was broadcast on Global in Canada on Wednesday evenings. It was supposed to premiere on ITV in the UK in early2007, however it was canceled by ABC. It finally aired all thirteen episodes on ITV on May 28, 2008. It debuted in 2007 on Australia's Seven Network. TV2 in New Zealand is now showing it. In 2007, Dizimax broadcasted it in Turkey. AXN and RTP2 broadcasted it in Portugal. On RTP2, it was rebroadcast.
