As the patriarch of the Gunderson family, Ron will be compelled to draw on a wide range of skills and a huge bag of tricks to care for the boys. Gary Gunderson, 11, is a bright and street-savvy leader who is every bit the con man his father is; and Brandon Gunderson, 13, is a gentle free spirit who simply goes along for the ride. While Sons of Tucson is based on the problems of raising a child as a single father, nothing in the Gunderson household is as it seems. Both parties will be kept on their toes by a continuous chess match between Ron and the boys, as neither can afford to give up too much power or independence.
