NBC Studios in Brooklyn, New York City, was the location of the event, which was sponsored and produced by Procter & Gamble Productions. Another World is the parent franchise of Texas. The head writers John William Corrington and Joyce Hooper Corrington, together with the executive producer Paul Rauch of Another World, collaborated on the creation of the show. Until1981, Rauch would continue to serve in the capacity of executive producer for both the parent series and the spin-off it spawned.
