The Bill Cosby Show is an American situation comedy that ran for two seasons on NBC's Sunday night schedule between 1969 and1971. It was sponsored by Procter & Gamble. There were 52 episodes made of the series. It was Bill Cosby's first solo TV show after I Spy, in which he starred with Robert Culp. It was also the first time an African American starred in a comedy series under his or her own name.
