The Cape

The Cape is an American science fiction, action/adventure, and drama television series that aired in syndication during the 1996–97 television season. The Cape depicted the life of astronauts at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida as they prepared for and carried out Space Shuttle flights. Throughout the series, Corbin Bernsen portrays Colonel Henry J. "Bull" Eckert, a veteran astronaut who served as Director of Astronaut Training and later as Chief of the Astronaut Office in the United States Air Force. It was shot in and around Cape Canaveral, Florida, because of the series' emphasis on authenticity: Technical assistance was provided by former astronaut Buzz Aldrin.
