The CAT

The Cat is a 1966-1967 NBC action drama sponsored by R.J. Reynolds and Lever Brothers. It was created by Dirty Harry founder Harry Julian Fink. Robert Loggia played T.H.E. Cat. T. H. E. Cat is a predecessor of TV characters like The Equalizer, who violate the law to help folks the police can't reach. It preceded the 1968-1970 ABC series It Takes a Thief, which was likewise about a cat thief who did good.
