The Chi

A coming-of-age story set on the South Side of Chicago that is contemporary, topical, and original. It follows a half dozen characters who are connected to one another. The protagonist of this story is a young man named Brandon. Brandon is an ambitious and self-assured young man who has aspirations of opening a restaurant of his own someday. However, Brandon is torn between the promise of a new life and the responsibility he feels toward his mother and younger brother who still live in the South Side.
