The Comeback

The first few episodes of the series focus on Valerie Cherish, a veteran comedy actress who has been absent from the public eye for more than a decade. In2005, Valerie is making an effort to get back into the industry that made her famous. Valerie achieves her goal of landing a role on a new network sitcom, but she faces the challenge of being an older, less influential performer in an ever-younger Hollywood, all while having her every move on and off the set filmed for a companion reality show. Valerie's situation is made more difficult by the fact that she is being followed by a camera crew at all times. When the cameras finally catch up with Valerie in the year2014, she gets cast in an HBO series called "Seeing Red," which chronicles the career of the comedy writer and producer who tormented her nine years previously. The series is titled "Seeing Red."
