The Familiar of Zero

Louise is an aspiring magician. The students at the Tristein Academy call her "Zero Louise" because she has never been able to use magic to do anything good. In fact, when she uses magic, things often go horribly wrong. Now, as a big test of how good she is at magic, she has to call a familiar to serve her. At this crucial moment, she calls on all her magic and wishes for a familiar who is "devoted, beautiful, and powerful." She gets Hiraga Saito, an ordinary Japanese boy. It's hard to say who is more shocked and disappointed, but the rules don't allow for a second chance. Both Louise and her strange familiar are stuck with each other.
