Mitchell McDeere's life was never the same when he drove the prominent Memphis legal firm of Bendini, Lambert & Locke, which worked as a front for the Chicago mob, to its knees when he was a young associate there. The firm had been operating as a front for the Chicago mob. After enduring a difficult decade, which included a stint in the Federal Witness Protection program, Mitch and his family have now emerged from isolation in an attempt to reclaim their lives and their future. However, they have discovered that the dangers they faced in the past are still present, in addition to the fact that there are new dangers present everywhere.
