CSI Investigator Barry Allen gets struck by lightning and slips into a coma when a particle accelerator generates a bizarre storm. Months later, he reawakens with super speed, allowing him to walk across Central City like an invisible guardian angel. Barry is stunned to learn that he is not the only "meta-human" generated by the accelerator explosion, and that not everyone is using their newfound abilities for good. Barry collaborates with S.T.A.R. Labs and devotes his life to defending the innocent. For the time being, just a handful of Barry's closest friends and colleagues are aware that he is literally the fastest man alive, but the world will soon learn that Barry Allen has become The Flash.
