The Future Diary

Yukiteru Amano (Yuki) is a recluse who prefers to keep a diary on his phone and has only an imagined buddy named Deus Ex Machina, the God of Time and Space, as his only companion. Yuki, on the other hand, quickly discovers that Deus is not a fabrication of his imagination, but rather a genuine person when Deus forces him to participate in a combat royale with eleven other people. The contestants are handed special diaries that may foretell the future as part of this "Diary Game," with each diary having its own set of capabilities that provide both benefits and drawbacks.
