Kyoko Hasumi, played by Takako Tokiwa, is a housewife and mother who used to be a successful attorney but gave up her career to focus on her family. Her husband is a high-ranking official in the prosecution service. However, despite his position as head of a special investigation department at the Tokyo District Prosecutor's Office, he is accused of bribery and placed under arrest. A scandal involving another woman is also brought to light. Kyoko Hasumi's existence as a "nice wife" starts to evolve as events unfold. She has made the conscious decision to resume her career as a lawyer in order to better provide for her family. After a hiatus of 16 years, she gets a job as an attorney at a law firm on a temporary basis and returns to practice law after being away from the profession.
