The Layover
The Stopover is a traveling and also food show on the Travel Channel held by Anthony Bourdain. The program premiered on November 21, 2011 in an episode based upon Singapore. The format and the content of the program are based upon what a traveler can do, consume, see and appreciate within 24 to 48 hours in a city. Each episode begins with the host touchdown at the city, with the clock beginning the countdown until the time that he will leave the city. As a skilled tourist, he meets citizens and also explores the city in and out, within issues of hours, both the touristy means as well as the regional method.
On February 15, 2012, Travel Channel restored the show for the 2012/2013 period, selecting November 19, 2012 for the second period premiere; featured cities for the period include Atlanta, Chicago, Dublin, New Orleans, Paris, Philadelphia, São Paulo, Seattle, Toronto, and also Taipei.
