The Mistress
The Mistress is a British sitcom that ran from 1985 to 1987 on BBC2. Carla Lane wrote the screenplay, which starred Felicity Kendal and Jane Asher. Kendal stars as Maxine, a young florist who is having an affair with a married guy, whose wife is played by Jane Asher. Some viewers were offended to see Felicity Kendal, best known as the innocent Barbara Good, playing a woman sleeping with someone else's husband.
