The Mystic Nine

The drama is a precursor to The Lost Tomb, and the plot centers on the adventures of nine families who loot graves in the 1940s. It is set in the same world as The Lost Tomb. General Zhang Qi Shan ventured into an unknown mine with the assistance of his close friends, the Fortune Teller Qi Tie Zue and the Opera Singer Er Yue Hong, in order to locate a secret tomb from the past. He endured numerous perils before discovering a conspiracy by the Japanese government to eliminate all of the people living in Changsha city. The guys worked together to foil a conspiracy hatched by the Japanese, which ultimately resulted in the city being spared.
